VMS Journal is an official publication of the Eastern Mediterranean Family Physicians Association (EMFPA), a non-profit academic organization committed to advancing high-quality, evidence-based medical and health sciences research.

The journal plays a central role in EMFPA’s mission to support continuing professional development, facilitate the exchange of ideas and experience, and foster a global learning community across all fields of medicine and health sciences—including internal medicine, surgical disciplines, preclinical sciences, and public and allied health sciences.

As part of its academic vision, EMFPA carries out its educational mission through two main pillars: scientific publishing and conference organization. Through VMS Journal, the Association aims to promote international collaboration, scientific excellence, and multidisciplinary innovation. To ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of its publications, the Executive Board of EMFPA is committed to establishing and continuously improving the journal’s Editorial Boards and Scientific Committees. The journal brings together distinguished scientists and researchers from diverse academic backgrounds and geographic regions who are recognized for their contributions within national academies and international scientific communities.
