About VMS Journal

VMS Journal is an international, peer-reviewed medical and health sciences journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, innovative, and scientifically rigorous research across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Published three times a year—in March, August, and December—VMS Journal provides a trusted platform for the global scientific and clinical community, including those working in internal medicine, surgical sciences, preclinical medical disciplines, and health sciences. The journal is guided by four fundamental principles: Clinical and scientific relevance, capacity to drive change in practice, scientific credibility, and effective, clear communication. VMS Journal seeks to disseminate research that informs and transforms medical education, patient care, and health system performance at local, national, and international levels. We welcome original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, case reports, viewpoints, and policy analyses. VMS Journal Article Review Process

The review process at VMS Journal begins when a manuscript is submitted through our online system. Following an initial technical check for compliance with submission guidelines, the paper is assigned to a section editor. The editor conducts a preliminary assessment to determine its suitability for the journal’s scope and quality standards. If deemed appropriate, the manuscript is then sent for double-blind peer review to at least two independent expert reviewers. Based on their evaluations, the editor makes a decision—accept, revise, or reject—which is communicated to the author along with anonymized reviewer comments. This rigorous process ensures the integrity, quality, and relevance of published articles.

Any infringements of professional ethical codes, such as plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, bogus claims of authorship, should be taken very seriously by the editors with zero tolerance.

Authors Responsibility

Authors should be aware of a possible Conflict of Interest. In such a case authors can still take responsibility for the accuracy of their paper, but must inform the reader with an appropriate statement in the Acknowledgements.
